In activity from October 1993 MACHINA AMNIOTICA is born as a project of multimedia performances and installations of poetry, sound and noise. The productions of the group, introduce on the occasion of different national and international reviews, they show of time in time a different area of the run of the project. Inside the concept of experimental performance, MACHINA AMNIOTICA is turned toward an aspect contemplated more specifically to the musical search in the field of the electronics, of the cut-ups and of the sonorous samplings in comparison to the activities of the past. The run, initiated partly already with the performance "Nessunaltraluce" (1998) has developed then with "The Ticket that is exploded" (1999): in this job the concept of cut-up elaborated by William Burroughs, has been only not wide to the written word, but also to the sonorous and visual interventions: all rigorously in direct and alive. Old this intermediary phase, MACHINA AMNIOTICA produced two separate jobs: Harmonies On Radiant Sceneries (June 1999) and Pure Electronic Mist (September 1999). Also being very different among them and, in some cases, apparently antithetical, the two productions represent as many different runs but intrinsically linked. In both the jobs in fact the component of sonic search it melts him with a textual and poetic component, besides always present since the birth of the project, and contemporarily it tries to correlate imaginary artistic different what the literature "other", the visual arts and performative, the cinema and the music: for a long time sources of inspiration and auto-contamination, over that expressive inspiration of all the members of the Machina. In the actual direction of MACHINA AMNIOTICA the text doesn't disappear, but it changes the way of using him. The length of the passages aims to amplify and to emphasize the textual and sonorous looping in an extreme search of the congenial limbic-mental moment to a progressive trance. The texts are always in Italian, made exception for the remix as, among the others, a version of Over of the Portishead, and of Citizen: a particular tribute of the Ennio Morricone theme of the film of Elio Petri, "Investigation on a citizen above every suspect" from 1970, with samplings drawn by the original dialogues of Gian Maria Volontè. 2oo2/2oo3 MACHINAs AMNIOTICA have prepared a series video. The harvest departing from the first jobs performatic actually reaches the videoclips used in sincro with the music during the exhibitions live. The disk reenters in a circulation limited production that foresees a different publication for every month of the 2oo3 container every time a group of the Italian electronic scene. 2oo4 - MACHINA AMNIOTICA has taken part to the ninth edition of the festival of videoclip and short films V-Art with the video MUSEIHUSHUGI the prize awarding himself/herself/itself for the good search video. From the month of April the album Tangled Transitory will be distributed on the whole edited by national territory the label SMALL VOICES. The album introduces him with a new graphic dress and contains two unpublished remix in comparison to the first edition.
BLUE BLUES TOUR: presentation of the book of the writer Alberto Lecca "Blue Blues" (ed. CUEC 1999), of which Machina Amniotica has taken care of a version in CD and a version "live". The texts, drawn by the harvest of poetries, they weave him to the sonorous interventions in a score in which the music returns sound to the word and the word it returns verb to the music. This CD is the first one of a series that sees Machina Amniotica protagonist of a series of homages to various poets and writers.
HARMONIES ON RADIANT SCENERIES. The concept of union and not of overlap among poetry, noise and music already express in the collaboration of Blue Blues Tour, is subsequently developed. A series of 9 "harmonies" they pick up attenuate sonorous atmospheres, interventions of poetry and songs with guitars and electronic samplings that actually reach the noise, crossing a run that could be defined "etno-punk". The texts written by six hands by the members of Machina Amniotica, underline the tension toward a total commistion of search of a new expressive and sonorous language, composed by different elements.
In PURE ELECTRONIC MIST the group have been picked the influences spread from the today's technology within the musical composition. The sounds are very near to the drum'n'bass, to the breakbeat and the noise, also not tracing none of the classical rules of these musical son-in-laws. Once more all this as source of inspiration is acquired for simply feeding an attitude "punk" to the contortion of the rules. In this job Machina Amniotica looks with interest at the new sonic generation that has replaced the plectrum with the mouse and the guitar with the Hard-Disks.
MACHINA OMNIA is entirely an interactive CD-ROM, introduced in preview during the festival international Interactions 2000. It contains a visual, sonorous and textual trip through the whole production of the seven years of life of the Machina, entirely transferred now on the site Web of the project, besides already existing since 1995. Such job makes part to full title of the multimedia research of Machina Amniotica. From it, it is possible to absolutely unload in free form all the musical jobs quoted in precedence, anymore some traces live ever published.
VOICES In YOUR HEAD is the live recording of a reading performed in June 2000 to Quartu S.Elena, on the occasion of the review Q/Art, organized from the Building In winter. It deals with a job centered on the figure of the poet American John Giorno, of which a series of tied up poetic texts to the frantic electronic rhythmics of the drum'n'bass and is proposed "immediatico" sonorous graft live from samplings going from the classical music to the noise; the job has been performed during the vision of the film without sonorous of Andy Warhol "Sleep", of which John Giorno is the protagonist.
INDUSTRIATA 2000, in the circle of the musical review organized by the association Karmadrome: Machina Amniotica has intervened opening the evening of Saturday 25 November devoted to Pierpaolo Pasolini to the discoclub Beauborg of Cagliari, that has seen the share of Lydia Lunch and Teho Teardo (Here). Machina have been introduced "musical passages" drawn by the two jobs "Harmonies on radiant sceneries" and "Pure electronic mist" in a new dress live, over some nearer moments to the sonic-poetic productions that countersign not also the project in really musical circles.
In December 2000, Machina Amniotica has overcome the selections and has been admitted to the selections of the second edition of the international festival "HK2 RIMUSICAZIONI" of Bolzano, with a job of remaking and re-soundtracking of the 1916 mute movie, "The Mystery of the Leaping Fish", that sees the first apparition on film of Douglas Fairbanks and director Tod Browning's screen-play (Freaks, Dracula). It deals with a "hallucinated, ironic and surreal trip in the world of the drugs" totally censored and darkened to the beginning of the century in the United States and recovered in recent times what "cinema find of the epoch" from the production of Fouri Orario of Italian television RaiTre.
